Junior Sarah Mitchell was crowned State Champion after winning the Discus at the Girls State Track & Field Championship Meet in Albany. Sarah set a new school record in the process of capturing the state crown with her toss of 136-07! Sarah had also competed earlier in the day in the shot put and paced the lady Knights to a 22nd place overall finish.

TUESDAY May 31st- FRIDAY June 3rd meet at Centennial High School outside the stadium at 7:30 am
STARTING MONDAY JUNE 6th meet at the following locations at 7:30 am_
MONDAYS- The Chattahoochee National Park recreation area off Barnwell Road. If you are coming from Old Alabama you will turn right on Jones Bridge Road which turns into Barnwell Road, the park will be about a mile down on your left. From Holcomb Bridge Road you will turn left onto Barnwell and the park will be about a mile down on your right. Drive the whole way down until the road dead ends into the parking lot. There is a parking fee ($3), or you can buy a season pass for $25.
TUESDAYS- Riverside Park, off Riverside Road near St. Andrew’s Church
WEDNESDAYS- Big Creek Park, off Old Alabama Road just before you get to Holcomb Bridge Road, meet in the top parking area.
THURSDAYS-Riverside Park
FRIDAYS- Garrad’s Landing off Holcomb Bridge Road on the right before you cross the Chattahoochee. This is the Park that is behind the new John’s Creek water treatment facility. Go in the entrance to the facility and follow the road to the left to the parking area by the playground.
